Using the Play tab

What the Play tab shows, how to RSVP straight from a round card, what the sheet after RSVPing is for, and how multi-round events work.

Play is the tab where every round you're part of shows up, grouped by event, with everything you need to do about it in one place — RSVP, your tee time, your side matches, and your bets.

What does Play show me?

Play shows a card for each current or upcoming event you're in. A single-day event is one card; a multi-day event nests a block for each round inside it. If one of your rounds is underway right now, that round's own block shows a pulsing Live chip and a green highlight instead of being pulled out onto a separate banner — it stays right where it's been all week. Once a round's played, its block collapses to a quick "✓ Complete" summary with links to its results, and your card stays put for the rest of that day — so you're not left hunting for it the moment you finish. Wrap-up items — confirming a scorecard, reading a round's recap, or a cancellation notice — live on Home, not here; Play is for what's current and upcoming only.

How do I RSVP from Play?

Tap I'm In or I'm Out right on the round's card — there's no separate page to visit. The card updates immediately; you don't wait for a page reload to see your answer take effect. If anything needs your attention right after you tap in, a short sheet opens on top of the card — see the next question for what that covers.

What is the sheet that appears after I RSVP?

It only opens when there's something to tell you, and it's skipped entirely otherwise:

  • Confirming your handicap. If your league uses player-entered handicaps (the default) rather than League Index, and you haven't set one for this event yet, the sheet asks you to confirm it — this is what your strokes are based on. Leagues using League Index skip this; your number comes from the platform.
  • A forced-waitlist explanation. If any round in the event is full, the sheet tells you you've been placed on the waitlist instead of in, and why.
  • A re-pairing confirmation. If you switch from in to out after tee times have already been set for the event, the sheet asks you to confirm — leaving moves other players, since someone has to be re-paired to fill the gap. Going out before tee times exist needs no confirmation.
  • A multi-round reminder. On an event with more than one round, the sheet states plainly that your answer covers every round (see the next question).

Does one RSVP cover every round in a multi-round event?

Yes — by design. One answer on the event covers all of its rounds; there's no way to RSVP in for one day of a multi-day event and out for another. If you can only make part of a multi-day event, tell your organizer — splitting the days into separate events is how they'd let you answer each one individually.

What does my card show once I'm in?

Once you're in, the round block fills in with whatever applies: your tee time once it's assigned, a row for each game the round is running (its name plus a short description of how it's set up — net or gross, whether ties carry, whether there's money on it — with a Join button on its own row for anything you can opt into), a summary of your side matches, and a summary of what you have riding on bets for that round. Tapping a side match opens its details on the spot, including the stakes — you don't leave Play to see it. Betting summaries still take you to the Betting page with that round already selected.

What if I'm out or on the waitlist?

If you're waitlisted, your card collapses to just a status chip and a button to back out of the waitlist entirely instead of waiting for a spot. If you're out, your card looks the same as if you hadn't answered yet — I'm In / I'm Out buttons and a teaser for the round — with a "You're out" chip marking your answer. Tap I'm In to change it.

Does Play look different for a commish or admin?

No — Play renders identically no matter your role in the league. Admin work like setting up tee times or closing out an event lives in the Admin Action checklist on the League page, not here.
