Viewing event results

How an event's three results tabs — Leaderboards, Stats and Recap — fit together, what the Rounds, Games, Matches and Event views show, and how the round bar works.

An event's results live on three tabs — Leaderboards, Stats and Recap — that share one header and one tab row. Under the tab row is a second row of views that says what kind of thing you are looking at, and, on the views that show a single round, a round bar. The round you pick stays picked as you move between tabs. Any league member can open them.

Where do I find an event's results?

Open the event and tap Results. During a round it opens the Leaderboards; once the event is complete it opens the Recap. Either way the same three tabs sit under the event's name, dates and status, and you can move between them freely.

What are the views under each tab?

  • Leaderboards has four: Rounds, Games, Matches and Event.
  • Stats has two: Rounds and Event.
  • Recap has two: Rounds and Event.

Rounds shows one round at a time. Event shows the whole event added together, and has no round bar. The words mean the same on every tab. Which view opens first: once an event is complete, the Leaderboards and Recap open on Event; during an event they open on Rounds at the round being played. Stats always opens on Rounds. Your view is kept in the page address, so it carries over when you tap another tab (a tab that doesn't have that view, such as Stats with Games, opens on its own first view), survives a reload, and works in a link you share.

How does the round bar work?

The round bar appears under the view row on Rounds, Games and Matches. Each round is a cell with its number and course, for example "R1 · Westchester". A round being played right now has a small pulsing dot after its label. There is no "All Rounds" cell; the whole event is the Event view.

Your choice is also kept in the page address. If you haven't picked a round, the page opens on the round being played, or on the latest finished round.

Everything below the bar belongs to the round you picked. A round with nothing to show yet is still selectable, and the page says why it is empty — for example "No stats for Round 2 yet".

What does each tab show?

  • Leaderboards — the order of play and the contests.
    • Rounds shows that round's board. Below it is a Group Scorecards card that opens each group's hole-by-hole cards.
    • Games shows that round's games, such as skins. Tap a game to open its detail page; ‹ Back to Games returns you to the same round.
    • Matches shows that round's head-to-head matches. If the round has none, the page says "No matches for Round N" and links to Gaming, where you can set them up.
    • Event shows every player's whole event in one grid, round by round. Use the Gross / Net switch above it to choose which score fills the grid. Each round has its own group of columns — the round total, the front nine, the back nine and putts — and the last group is the event total with its score to par, holes played and total putts. The grid is sorted by the score you picked. On a phone, swipe the grid sideways to see later rounds; the player names and the column headings stay put. A round played as a team game is not in the grid — open it under Rounds.
  • Stats — the numbers. Rounds shows that round's scorecard grid and tables; Event shows whole-event charts. See Viewing event stats.
  • Recap — the story. See the next section.

What is on the Recap tab?

On Rounds, the Recap shows that round's Low Gross and Low Net awards, then the photos players posted during that round, then the AI-written round recap if there is one. The awards and photos appear whether or not your league has Bot Coverage turned on. A round recap only exists when a commish or admin has Bot Coverage on, and only they see the Generate recap button when a round doesn't have one yet.

On Event, once the event is complete, the Recap shows the event's Low Gross and Low Net (with the round each winning card was shot in, on a multi-round event), most birdies or eagles, notable holes such as a hole in one, dot highlights, and who played, who withdrew and, if RSVPs were on, who RSVPed but recorded no scores. While an event is still running, Event says the event recap isn't ready yet — switch to Rounds and pick a finished round to see its awards and photos right away.

What happened to the old Games & Matches tab and round recap page?

Games and Matches are now views under Leaderboards. Old links to the Games page still work: they open Leaderboards on the Games view, at the same round if the link named one. Each round's recap lives on the Recap tab's Rounds view, and links to the old separate recap page open it with that round selected.
